The Sendan Tokusa 9.75” Bowl features a beautiful and intricate take on the traditional design technique, Tokusa, that evolved during Japan’s Edo period, a century and a half of economic growth, environmental protection, and intellectual, cultural and artistic development in the country. Comprised of blue and white lines meant to symbolize the reeds of Tokusa grass, also called the Scouringrush Horsetail, the pattern radiates from the center of the piece towards the rims.
