This rug is inspired by abstract pattern studies, exercises developed by Eugene Masselink (1910-1962) and others in the early years at Taliesin. Masselink was one of Wright’s apprentices at the Taliesin Fellowship. He acted as Wright’s personal secretary for over twenty years as well as his designated muralist, developing his own unique graphic style, using abstract natural forms that were very compatible with Wright’s own designs and philosophy.
Experience the harmony of contemporary modern design with the Frank Lloyd Wright Abstraction Area Rug, a special collaboration piece between the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Surya.
