The Blomus Pilar Stoneware Dinner Plates (Set of 4) from the award winning German design company Blomus are beautifully shaped yet modest enough to act as a discreet backdrop to a perfect meal. Pilar tableware was designed by Floz Design in Germany, and stacks beautifully for in-cabinet storage. The matte outer finish complements the gloss inner surface. The Pilar tableware collection is made from clay, quartz and minerals such as calcite and is defined as a ceramic product. The stoneware is molded at very high temperatures using casting techniques. Those high temperatures during the firing process make the stoneware more stable than clay and less translucent than porcelain. Pilar, a Spanish word meaning pillar or column, expresses the exquisite shapes and curves of the set and its ability to be stacked with strength.
Dimensions: Each Dinner Plate is 10.6” in diameter. Dishwasher and microwave safe. Due to the heating and glazing processes of stoneware, these pieces may have slightly different attributes which adds to their beauty and uniqueness. Set of 4.
Founded in 1961 and rooted in the German tradition of exceptional quality and highly skilled craftsmanship, Blomus is a fourth generation family run company that has built its success on a firm belief in honesty of materials, passion of approach, and purity of shape.
